  The Manyoni Uranium Project is located in Central Tanzania approximately 600 km West of Dar es Salaam and comprises 6 active tenements covering a total area of 690 km2. Extensive Uranium anomalism has been identified across current tenements with secondary mineralisation defined in a shallow sequence of sandy clays, with sand and gravel horizons within playa lakes developed from recent rift faulting. The playa lakes form concentration and trap points for uranium enriched ground and surface waters, and uranium mineralisation occurs through enrichment of the sedimentary sequence and underlying granitic saprolite. The secondary uranium minerals comprise an upper schrockingerite zone overlying a lower carnotite zone. To date existing Mineral Resources have only been calculated within four of the secondary playa deposits (88.8Mt @ 143ppm for 28Mlbs U3O8, 100ppm cut-off). The calculated Indicated and Inferred mineral resources for the Manyoni Uranium project are available in Table 1. The C1_HG deposit which is part of the greater C playa deposit has an average grade of 460 ppm U3O8 highlighting the potential for higher grade Uranium mineralisation within the region.

  The Manyoni Uranium Project exploration potential is highlighted in only one model for mineralisation having been tested, this being the playa style deposit. There has been no testing for models like valley or channel fill (e.g. Langer Heinrich) or sandstone hosted deposits similar to th e Mkuju Uranium Project owned by Magnis Resources or the Nyota deposit owned by Uranium One. The surface radiometric expression of a playa deposit can easily mask mineralisation and although there are other playa anomalies that can be defined within the current tenement package there has been very little exploration below a depth of 15m. Of the few deeper drill holes a hole drilled to 46m had 1m at 866ppm near the end of hole and so it is believed that below some of the playa deposits it is possible to have mineralised calcrete, sand and basal conglomerate intervals of a potential sandstone hosted deposit. Further exploration targeting a regional model for Uranium deposition can only assist in the definition of further uranium mineralisation within the Manyoni Uranium Project.
